About Us

Laura Volkman is owner grower and winemaker of Laura Volkman Vineyards and Winery.  She studied at the Northwest Viticulture Center in Salem, Oregon and interned with Mike Etzel at Beaux Freres during the 2001 and 2002 crush.

Along with her husband, Jim, and two young children, Jacob and Rachel, who help with dropping second crop and pulling leaves, the vineyard is a family effort and a time consuming labor of love.  Harvest is especially fun when the family can look back on the growing season and see first hand the reward of many hours of work spent in the hot sun.
